Last month we were kindly invited to participate in a photoshoot hosted by The Orchard at Munsley, a brand new outdoor wedding venue near Ledbury, Herefordshire. The photoshoot centred around a competition that Jayne from the venue had kindly run, in which a couple who had had their wedding plans postponed due to Covid-19 were invited along for a personal and intimate Commitment Ceremony, held by Jennie Hermolle. It has been a tough year for the wedding and events industries, and particularly for couples who were due to celebrate their nuptials throughout the lockdown period, so when lovely Jayne told us about her kind idea to reward a special couple in this difficult time, we were straight onboard.
Our Rustic Wooden Benches were used to form guest seating for the Commitment Ceremony. In this case, a few members of Sophie & Alex’s close family, (along with their gorgeous Spaniel, Dill), were able to attend whilst maintaining social distancing guidelines. The benches were beautifully complimented by Alexandra Sylvester’s aisle floristry, and the wonderful ceremony backdrop that had been styled and created by Lauradana of Wedding Creations UK.
One thing we particularly love about our Rustic Wooden Benches is their versatility when placed in a range of settings, styles and colour palettes, thanks to their natural aesthetic. And of course, each bench is handmade in our Cotswolds Workshop.
Post-ceremony, the lovely Jayne allowed us to make the most of the beautiful surroundings at The Orchard at Munsley to style some of our new furniture packages and products. These photos of our Rustic Trestle Tables and Wooden Folding Chairs laid out in banquet fashion amongst the atmospheric shade of the orchard, are some of our favourite images we have ever taken. We could never have dreamed of having our pieces photographed in such a unique and beautiful space as this, and we can only imagine what a beautiful wedding reception venue The Orchard at Munsley will make.
